Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A Special Education Teacher opportunity is available at a K-12 Junior High school in Monument, CO. This contract position begins ASAP and extends through May 21, 2026. The teacher will manage a caseload of approximately 25 students and work a schedule tentatively set from 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs. Collaborate with general education staff, parents, and support personnel to promote inclusive education. Monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet academic and social goals. Maintain accurate records, prepare reports, and participate in student evaluations. Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal special education regulations. Qualifications: Valid special education teaching certification for K-12 levels. Experience working with diverse student populations, ideally in a junior high setting. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 25 students effectively. Familiarity with special education laws, procedures, and instructional techniques. Location: Monument, Colorado, serving a junior high school within a K-12 environment.
