seeking a highly skilled Engineering Manager with an active Top
Secret to join our development team in Boulder, CO. This is an
MID-SR CAREER (level 4) ROLE where candidates typically require 5
years of professional experience and a BS degree. The Overhead
Persistent Infrared (OPIR) Infrastructure Team is seeking an
Engineering Manager to provide technical leadership for the OPIR
Ground?Station Infrastructure organization that supports both SBIRS
and the Next?Gen GEO OPIR ground stations. In this role you will
mentor and collaborate with a talented group of infrastructure
engineers to deliver and maintain ultra?reliable, secure, and
scalable ground systems that enable continuous infrared
surveillance, missile?warning, and missile?defense capabilities for
legacy and next?generation satellite constellations. As Engineering
Manager you will: • Manage more than one technical engineering and
science organization. • Be responsible for coordinating subordinate
employee recruitment, selection and training, performance
assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary

Qualifications • Progressive technical experience in aerospace,
defense, or related high?technology sectors. • Experience with
multi?function or cross?functional project management. • Proven
track record of managing people, budgets, and schedules (often 5
direct reports). • Commitment to building high?performing teams
through coaching, succession planning, and creating growth pathways
for junior talent. • Strong decision?making authority and
accountability for technical outcomes. • Proven ability to define
and articulate a long?term strategic vision for complex technical
programs, and to translate that vision into measurable road?maps
and execution plans. • Exceptional public speaking, with the
ability to motivate diverse audiences, from senior executives and
customers to front?line engineers and support staff. • Active Top
Secret clearance. Desired skills • Certified PMP, CAM, Scrum
Master, or similar project management credential. • Hands on
experience with Agile/DevSecOps environments. • Experience leading
sustainment/transition activities for long term support. • 10-15
years total, including work on high visibility or classified
programs. • Demonstrated experience leading multi?disciplinary
teams (mechanical, electrical, software, systems, etc.) on complex
programs. • Experience leading larger teams (10-20 direct reports)
or multiple sub teams. • Budget authority (e.g., $5M program
budget). • Experience designing and executing mentorship or
leadership?development programs that have resulted in measurable
improvements in employee engagement and retention. • Ability to
forge and nurture strategic partnerships with external entities
(government agencies, academia, prime/partner firms, and suppliers)

Ability to work remotely Onsite Full-time: The work associated with
this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed
Martin facility. Work Schedule Information Lockheed Martin supports
a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional
flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40
hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time
away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off
benefits. Security Clearance Information This position requires a
government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for
consideration. Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this
position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most
major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland,
Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is
$104,500 - $184,115. For states not referenced above, the salary
range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work
location. Please note that the salary information is a general
guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not
limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's
work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market
and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits

Massachusetts, and New York is $120,100 - $208,150. For states not
referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect
