expertise!Job Summary and QualificationsThe Surgical Technician
will be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to
provide assistance during surgical procedures performed in the
department. The Surgery Technician is experienced in all aspects of
aseptic technique, setting up the required equipment and sterile
supplies as needed for their assigned cases; pulling cases as
needed, breaking down cases at the end of the procedure. He/she is
knowledgeable regarding instrumentation, equipment and supply needs
for all types of surgical procedures. The Surgery Technician
performs delegated duties consistent with his/her scope of practice
and functions within the philosophy and overall plan of care
delivery.Here at PSL we use a specialized team to deliver surgical
care for our liver and kidney transplants. This team operates
within our general team of scrub techs and handles a variety of
general cases as well as transplants. You will have the opportunity
to build a close relationship with the transplant doctors as well
as our team. We are looking for an experienced scrub tech; however
if you have never done transplant and would love to learn, we are
willing to train you. Transplant surgery brings new life to our
patients and we are passionate about the care we provide!
What qualifications you will need:
- Current BLS Certification through AHA or ARC
- Registration as a Surgical Tech by Colorado Division of
Regulatory Agencies (DORA)
- Current CST Certification from NBSTSA preferred
- Graduation from an accredited program for Operating Room
Technicians
- Minimum two years of experience as a Surgery Technician.
Verification of competencies in relative procedures required. - **
