Description Location: UCHealth UCHlth Leprino Building AMC, US:CO:Aurora Department: Lab Special Tests Work Schedule: Full Time, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks) Shift: Days Pay: $19.10 - $24.83 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option Summary: Prepares specimens for stat and routine testing/analysis or transport to external laboratory. Responsibilities: Receives, accessions, and tracks specimens in the department's information system(s). Verifies accuracy of collected specimens against orders. Prepares specimens for testing or shipment to external laboratory. Disposes of specimens according to policies and procedures. Maintains specimen handling and testing supplies as necessary to ensure an adequate inventory. Performs clerical tasks as necessary or assigned, including answering calls and entering data. Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action. Requirements: High School diploma or GED. Employees are our number one asset.
