Job Title: Software Engineer 14669 Job Location: Colorado 80912 Onsite Requirements: C++/Java Linux clearance Job Description: Primary Responsibilities: Designing and developing software to model various Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) element capabilities. Additional responsibilities could include interfacing with MDST customers and presenting technical briefings to MDST stakeholders. The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of related experience. Proficiency developing software in object-oriented programming languages such as C, C++, or Java. Demonstrated understanding of software development life cycle. Experience in agile software development methodologies like Scrum or Kanban. Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Strong, written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical teams and customer personnel. Ability and willingness to travel 10% to support business needs. A current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field. Proficient in Java or C++ within a Linux environment Experience in Atlassian Tool Suite Experience in software development, including analysis, design, code, test and integration. Knowledge or experience in several of the following: missile defense domain knowledge, infrared space surveillance, and modeling and simulation development. 3rd party and subcontract staffing agencies are not eligible for partnership on this position. 3rd party subcontractors need not apply. This position requires candidates to be eligible to work in the United States, directly for an employer, without sponsorship now or anytime in the future.
