IT Support TechnicianFLSA Status: ExemptSummary:This position provides daily support of company-wide IT requests, including: hardware and software troubleshooting, installation, implementation, maintenance, and upgrades. This position reports to the IT Manager.Essential Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day hardware maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting with a high level of customer service
• Manage deadlines, multi-tasking and escalation in a fast-paced environment
• Provide support for servers, desktops, laptops, printers, and all peripheral devices
• Provide support for routers, switches, UPS, firewall, and network/phone communications
• Ability to manage IT support issues in a timely manner with appropriate communication
• Contribute to end-user training of hardware, software, and various procedures
• Maintain accurate hardware inventories and legal licensing practices
• Assist with POS and register configurations, installations, maintenance and troubleshooting
• Ensure compliance with Company and IT policies and practices

  • Strong knowledge of personal computer hardware and all peripherals
  • Thorough knowledge of operating systems, Microsoft Office products
  • Good understanding of network topologies and protocols
    • VO/IP experience desired
    • Solid telecommunication experience is preferred
    • Effective organization skills, initiative, judgment and prioritization methodologies
    • Strong verbal communication skills
    • Ability to resolve problems quickly, effectively and efficiently
      • Willing and able to travel daily to requestor sites
      • Occasional heavy lifting is required
      • Ability to work under limited supervisionCertificates, Licenses, Registrations:NonePhysical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use their hands.
