Medical Laboratory Technician Location: Lafayette, CO Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,068 per week Shift Information: Nights - 4 days x 10 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/20/2026 About the Position Job Title: Medical Laboratory Scientist Profession: Medical Laboratory Scientist Specialty: - Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: MT(ASCP) or CLS (ASCP) Certifications: N/A Must-Have: Bachelor's Degree Description: Performs and interprets designated laboratory procedures. Performs serologic, chemical, bacteriologic, immunohematologic (blood bank), and microscopic procedures and related duties to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease. Performs accurate and appropriate testing on laboratory specimens/collections according to established laboratory protocols and procedures. Reports results in a timely manner. Troubleshoots instruments, equipment, reagents, and patient specimen/product problems using standard laboratory techniques as required. Performs laboratory quality control, including reporting discrepancies and troubleshooting according to established procedures and protocols. Takes appropriate action to assure quality results/products are provided for use by physicians and nurses. Performs daily, weekly, monthly, and as needed maintenance and calibrations on instruments and equipment to meet all quality requirements. Conducts verification tests on new products, instruments, and procedures which includes comparisons and statistical analysis as requested. Performs quality audit data collection, technical policy/procedure development, inspection assistance, and donor file management under the direction of laboratory management. Maintains workflow in the clinical laboratory through proficiency in testing and maintaining work areas, supply stock, monitoring and assistance in inventory management. Assists in training and orientation of new associates. Promotes mission, vision, and values, and abides by service behavior standards. Performs other duties as assigned.
