Job Description:
UCHealth, a renowned leader in healthcare in Colorado, is
seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist specializing in
Inpatient Acute Care to join our compassionate team of healthcare
professionals. In this role, you will be integral in providing
high-quality, patient-centered care in an acute setting across our
expansive network of hospitals and outpatient facilities. The ideal
candidate will leverage their expertise in diagnosing and treating
various communication and swallowing disorders to enhance patient
outcomes and foster rehabilitation. Assess and treat speech,
language, voice, and swallowing disorders in acute care patients.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on
patient needs and medical history. Collaborate with a
multidisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, and other
healthcare professionals to provide cohesive patient care. Document
patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary. Educate
patients and families about communication and swallowing strategies
to improve quality of life. Participate in continuous education to
stay updated on best practices and emerging research in speech
pathology. Strong understanding of speech-language pathology
principles and practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal
skills with patients and team members. Ability to work creatively
and adaptively in a dynamic healthcare environment. Medical

Current state license as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Certificate
of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from
the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
